I doubt many of us can believe that August has come and gone. Two-thirds of the way through 2018 and we’ll soon be waving goodbye to the summer, before we’re ready for it.

Saturday 27th May 2017
My first full day in Mid Wales; the morning after our arrival. Some didn’t turn up or even pitch their tents until close to midnight!
We awoke to the sound and chill of
rain British Weather. Two walks were happening at the same time; both with early starts. Everyone was moving, I just wanted to slow down and breathe for a bit… So, I ended up spending the day intentionally alone.

It’s summer! We’ve had ‘unseasonally’ warm weather and it’s a good time to think about camping – if you enjoy that kind of experience and haven’t already got plans under way.
I don’t normally intend to plan a camping trip for August but this year I’ll be heading to the Peak District for a long weekend. Without going in to that though, I’d like to share some of my considerations on camping at this time of year.
